Ed Sheeran may be teaming up with Ricky Gervais for David Brent’s new upcoming film called Life on the Road. A documentary film about David Brent trying to raise money for his band ‘Forgone Conclusion’ to go on tour.
Ricky Gervais originally reached out to Sheeran via twitter to help sing on a track for the film in particular ‘Free Love Freeway’. Sheeran has suggested they do it for Red Nose Day or Comic Relief.
In the meantime Sheeran is planning on volunteering in a charity shop in his home town of Suffolk. Sheeran has stated he wants to get out of the showbiz bubble for at least a year. The manager of the Sue Ryder shop in Framlingham, Suffolk said: ‘There’s a good possibility he will volunteer here. We’d welcome him. My volunteers, who are aged between 61 and 91, know Ed because he was brought up in the town. They would be fine working with him.’
Sheeran recently bought an old police station in the area for £1 million and turned it into a youth club. Sheeran is thought to attract more youngsters to the charity shop and has personally helped out with the new youth club.
