Actor-director Ben Stiller has revealed that he survived deadly prostate cancer two years ago at the age of 48.
Stiller, who is now 50, opened up about his battle with the disease for the first time during an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show Tuesday morning.
“It came out of the blue for me. I had no idea. At first, I didn’t know what was gonna happen. I was scared. ” – Stiller explained
“It just stopped everything in your life / because you don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
The Emmy winner also added that he survived cancer because of early detection – and now he wants to spread the word about getting tested.
“I wanted to talk about it because of the [PSA] test … I feel like the test saved my life.”
